Meet colin

an advocate Of movement

I am a passionate advocate of movement as a means to improve every aspect of your life. As an experienced personal trainer and with my personal exercise background spanning over ten years, I want to share that passion with you through education and meaningful experiences that will help you develop your own sustainable, lifelong relationship with physical activity.

No matter what form of movement you choose, your mind and body will benefit. I’m here to help you make it happen. I approach my work with you at the forefront—everything is designed with your input and preferences in mind. I describe my role as being a professional friend: someone who is approachable, genuinely interested in you and your life, but will also hold you accountable to the goals that you set for yourself. I genuinely want you to succeed.

As a trainer, I provide a calm, light-hearted environment where you have the space to use our time together in the way you prefer. No “drop and give me twenty” attitudes here.

integrity and quality

I firmly believe in the quality of my work, which is why I will never use any high-pressure sales tactics. I focus on providing genuine value and supporting you in achieving your wellness goals. I will never compromise when it comes to creating a safe, comfortable environment for my clients.

Further, the information I provide you will always come from reputable, carefully-selected sources that are rooted in literature and informed by the latest research. I will help you sift through the vast body of fitness information on the Internet and ensure you are equipped to combat any misinformation you encounter.

outside of work

I believe that movement should enable a full life. I enjoy strength training, cycling, and practicing yoga. I also enjoy rock climbing, running, and taking my dog for a walk. I am an aviation enthusiast, a passionate supporter of Pelotonia, and a practitioner of Stoic philosophy. I enjoy visiting local breweries with my partner, Justin. I love spending time in New York City, the Western US, and the beach.

  • While I specialize in working with physicians, I am well-equipped to work with any professionals who struggle with burnout and want to make physical wellness a priority.

  • I have been certified as a trainer by the American Council on Exercise since December of 2018.

I graduated with my Master of Science in Kinesiology, Sport Management from Ohio State in 2024. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Ohio State in May of 2022.

I maintain a current CPR and AED certification from the American Red Cross.

  • During my 5+ years of work as a personal trainer, I have worked with nearly two dozen individual clients for one-on-one training. Many of my clients have worked with me for over three years. I have worked with dozens more in small-group instructional program settings.

I am energized and fulfilled by working with my clients. They are the reason I love my job. I love to teach and support my clients as they learn and grow to love movement.
